Klan Kind - This is who we were
Klan Kind started out originally as a clan in the game Starsiege Tribes. More specifically, We were heavily involved with the Annihilation Mod. It was a mod of Tribes that many other clans favored, due to it's wide array of weapons, armors, and tactics. This made overall gameplay fast paced, and action packed. As such, it was also favored by many players new to the game, a flood of whom joined into the Annihilation community when Tribes was released for free in 2004. During these years, the Annihilation community grew, and our members roster also expanded greatly, with many "newbs" turning into "vets" as they passed through our halls.

Being a teaching clan, we had also hoped to lead by example, and pave the way for a strong, levelheaded, and thriving community. Alas, it was too good to be true. Not everyone shared our ideas and opinions. With a lack of sportsmanship and trust, the community and mod faultered. With time, the active community shrunk, and moved on to bigger and better games. The pool of new players wanting to learn the game dried up. It was with regret that we decided to move on as well, and cecede from the community.

All is not lost, however. Many in our rank still heed the call of Tribes, and cannot lay the game to rest. It is these few that have banded together to bring about a new era in Klan Kind. It is this ascension that we hope will bolster a rejuvenation in our ranks, as we expand to other games, and other mods. Most notably is out expansion into Battlefield 1942. Despite its age, it still has a very active community, and many players whom are willing to learn.

I imagine we will not stop just with Battlefield 1942, and the future can only reveal the fate of Klan Kind. We will, however, continue to be a clan that welcomes it's new members, and educates them not only in game, but out of game as well. Many whom have joined us have not only involved into elite gamers, but have gone on to be more respectable individuals. At the moment, we have been at work overhauling our website and forums to accommodate our expansion. So, whether you're thinking about joining, or just passing through, welcome to Klan Kind.
